The Buttermarket occupies the site of the ancient bull-stake and market cross, near the Christchurch Gate entrance to the cathedral. It is the focus for the district’s civic remembrance events.
Restrictions on the use of this site
Because the area is largely on the Highway, a road closure is required for events to take place.
This site is only suitable for small events.
