To help members maximize their risk management programs VMLIP offers a wealth of resources to supplement our various services and trainings through the Multimedia Library.
The library offers members a free lending library consisting of videos, DVD’s, CD's, modules and printed materials covering a variety of topics relating to safety and human resources. These resources can be used as a foundation for discussion in member entity’s training. Members may borrow up to two resources at a time for a two week period.
DVD’s and Videos
DVD’s and videos can be used to augment training on a number of topics, such as diversity in the workforce, school bus safety, defensive driving, behavior based safety, and many more.
Safety Modules
Safety modules are CD-ROM based and provide a sample training program on disk. The modules contain a sample written program, board/council resolution, management announcement letter, training slides, student handout materials, and reference materials. Modules are available for a variety of training needs including confined space entry, fleet management, safety coordinator training, sidewalk safety and more.
Publications
Publications available to members include manuals or books designed as guidelines for the development of policies and procedures for personnel in a supervisory capacity. Example titles include: Discipline Without Punishment, People Based Safety, The Sexual Harassment Handbook, When Good People Behave Badly, and more.
