Please note this licence is required in addition to your registration or Divisional Store Licence should you wish to sell fireworks outside of the designated periods listed below:
Unless a person applies for and is granted the aforementioned licence, it is not permitted to supply or expose for supply after 31 December 2004 any firework, other than during the following set periods:
- On the first day of the Chinese New Year and the three days immediately preceding it;
- On the day of Diwali and the three days immediately preceding it;
- During the period beginning on 15 October and ending on 10 November; or
- During the period beginning on 26 December and ending on 31 December.
Whenever you are selling fireworks, you must display, in a prominent position, a sign stating that, "It is illegal to supply adult fireworks to anyone under the age of 18" and "It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to possess adult fireworks in a public place."
